CRAVE Restaurant In Coral Gables Employee Nominated For Award
CRAVE Restaurant in Coral Gables is proud to announce that our own Christina Ward is nominated for the “AXA Advisors Businesswomen of the Year Award!” Christina’s strong involvement with CRAVE at the Village of Merrick Park and the local community makes her an extremely worthy nominee in the Retailer/Restaurateur category.
Christina Ward has been with CRAVE for the past year, and her efforts have made her one of the most recognizable businesswomen in the city. She has been the Sales & Marketing Manager with our company for the past 10 months, where she constantly keeps the restaurant busy with group dinners, Private Dining events, and off-site catering.
She brought her skills and expertise to CRAVE after being the Private Dining Director for Fleming’s Steakhouse, Morton’s Steakhouse, and The Capital Grille.
Christina also has a long history of helping the community and has been the ringleader for the CRAVE Cares program, raising funds for various charities on a global and national scale. Through the program, Christina selects a local charity or non-profit partner each month, plans an event for them, and promotes the organization throughout the restaurant and on social media platforms all month long.
CRAVE Cares has previously teamed up with Dress for Success, Women of Tomorrow, the American Cancer Society, Toys for Tots, The UM Lampidis Foundation, Breast Cancer Awareness, the Sandy B. Muller Foundation, Neat Stuff, and many more impactful organizations.
Additionally, Christina has brought her popular organization, High Heels and Handshakes, to CRAVE for various charitable events throughout the year! One of the events we hosted was the Ladies Luxury Hot Pink Summer Event. Over 300 local attendees gathered to raise money, shoes, and clothes for organizations like Badges of Courage, Women for Women International, and Dress for Success. The event was a success raising over 100 outfits for these women.
Another High Heels and Handshakes event, Hearts on Fire, took place at CRAVE through the CRAVE Cares program. Guests raised funds, heels, and prom dresses for Women of Tomorrow, the mentoring program to help underprivileged young girls. The event also brought exposure for local and budding designers, artists, entrepreneurs, and charities.
Christina’s efforts have drawn attention from various publications including Social Florida Guide, South Florida Luxury Guide, Soul of Miami, Gables Home Page, Coral Gables TV, local newspapers, magazines, and other media. Congratulations Christina! We thank you for all your continued hard work and wish you the best of luck on your nomination!
